I was so excited about playing with moody boudoir studio lighting for this session. It was the perfect embodiment of sultry, sophisticated femininity.
I had the amazing opportunity to visit Cat Holme’s Norfolk studio to play with light together. She really did a stunning job at putting this session together for us. We wanted this session to lean into rich tones and shadows, soft focus, and a drama. The wind-blown red hair was a paid actor on its own haha! Our muse Michaela owned the poses. The poses were sensual and just the right amount of mystery.
The intention behind this shoot was simple: to capture softness and power, while having . Something I like to capture with every client. The result is a series of portraits that feel painterly, intimate, and empowering.
Moody boudoir studio lighting offers something a little different. It’s not about being overt. It’s about subtle emotion, timeless beauty, and honoring your inner fire in an artistic way. Low-light imagery can feel raw, cinematic, and romantic all at once.
Whether you’re celebrating a personal milestone, reclaiming your confidence, or simply craving art that centers you, this style of session offers a space to be seen in a whole new light (pun intended).
If this dreamy, fine-art vibe speaks to you, I’d love to help you create your own personalized session. Every detail from the lighting to the posing is tailored to you. You don’t have to come in knowing exactly what you want. I guide you the whole way and create space for you to just be.
Let’s photograph the version of you that feels powerful, feminine, and free.

“I have never felt so amazing about myself since my time with Rebecca. She very much helped me unlock a side of myself I didn’t realize I was locking away until I let her back out for the photo shoot. Thank you for helping me feel like I can live fully again!”
