Boudoir Image Release: Which is best for you?
One of the most common questions I get during the booking process is:
“Will my photos be shared anywhere?”
And the short answer is: only if you want them to be.
When you book a boudoir session with me here in Richmond.. or anywhere, you’ll always have full control over your image privacy. After your shoot, I’ll ask you to sign an image release — which simply tells me what you’re comfortable with when it comes to sharing your images (if at all). There’s no pressure, and no judgment. Every woman has her own comfort level, and I’m here to honor yours.
Let’s break down the options so you can decide what feels best for you:
You give permission for me to share any of your final images — on my website, Instagram, blog, or portfolio. This option is perfect if you’re excited to inspire others and feel proud of your photos being seen and celebrated. (And of course, I’ll always tag you only if you specifically ask me to!)

Lingerie set: Marie Mur
Your photos can be shared, but nothing that reveals your identity — meaning no face, no distinct tattoos, no identifying details. This is a great choice if you love the idea of contributing to my work and helping other women feel empowered, but want to keep your privacy intact.

You get to personally choose which images (if any) you’re okay with sharing. This gives you more flexibility — maybe you’re okay with a few backlit silhouettes or lingerie details but want to keep more vulnerable images just for yourself.

Your photos stay completely private. 100%. Always. These images are for you and you alone. Whether you’re gifting them to a partner or simply capturing this moment in your life for yourself, I completely respect your choice to keep them tucked away.
There’s no wrong answer — and you don’t have to decide today. I’ll walk you through it again after your gallery is delivered. Some clients come in unsure and end up feeling so empowered they want to share a few. Others know from day one that they want to keep it just for themselves — and that’s beautiful, too.
At the end of the day, your comfort and boundaries come first. To chat more about booking a Boudoir Session, fill out a form to get in touch.
