As a predominantly digital photographer, it feels like such a risk to only pack film for a session. It almost feels unnatural. But there is something so freeing about film. It always pushes me in ways digital does not. Digital is safe. I can see in my camera what the image looks like that I took. I can make adjustments based on what I see. With film, I have to rely on trusting in myself. Then I have to trust the process of developing. Something that tests me as a chronically impatient person. But waiting makes it fun. So much fun. Location and Accessibility

My studio is situated in the Manchester area, just a 10-minute drive from Downtown Richmond. Tucked away in the Blue Dot Studio building, this private haven is adorned with a unique charm that sets the stage for a transformative experience. To ensure your privacy, the building requires a key for entry, and I personally greet you at the door to guide you into this intimate space.

Parking is a breeze, with ample space available both behind and beside the building. While our studio is not wheelchair accessible due to being on the second floor, our commitment to creating an inclusive space remains unwavering.

Sessions for the Soul

"Sessions for the soul" are not just photoshoots; they're an intimate boudoir experience designed to celebrate the divine femininity that lives within you. This sacred space invites you to freely express the gorgeous babe that you are. As your guide, supporter, and cheerleader, I'm here to help you reconnect with your body and feminine essence—a celebration of the fierce, romantic, free, unique, playful, creative, and wondrous parts of you.

Honoring All Bodies

In this space, all bodies are honored, and diet-talk is not welcome. Stretch marks, curves, rolls, and wrinkles are not only accepted but celebrated—never photoshopped. You are a work of art, and together, we're going to celebrate that.

Empowerment Through Vulnerability

When was the last time you felt a surge of empowerment? Boudoir, to me, is a beautiful mix of new experiences, stepping into the unknown, and learning to honor where you are in this moment. It might be intimidating to be vulnerable in front of the camera, but the experience is healing. The stunning images and albums are just the cherry on top.

I'm passionate about cultivating an environment in my studio that inspires you to explore and celebrate who you are. I'm here to guide, support, and encourage you every step of the way—from wardrobe choices to posing and movement. Self-Portraits in my richmond studio

Richmond Self Portraits

As a boudoir photographer, I find it so important to get in front of the camera and experience all of the feels that my clients do. If I don’t know how something feels, how can I truly expect to give clients an experience that is supportive of their emotions and needs?

This set was very unplanned and unexpected. I was at the studio organizing the client closet. I was in a blah mood about myself. Ya know, hormones! I put on some lingerie and instantly felt my mood changing. Admiring myself in the mirror made me feel sexy. Next thing I know, I’m setting up my camera for self-portraits. I am so proud of the growth I’ve experienced. Self-Portraits were always too vulnerable of a thing for me to do. Again, how can I expect my clients to enter this vulnerable experience that I, myself, won’t enter?

I vow to practice what I preach. Not only does it make me feel more connected with my work, it also helps me to heal and see myself in a new, empowering way.

Investing in yourself with a boudoir session

I think it’s a common feeling to experience some sort of guilt when investing in yourself.

As a small business owner, mom and big contributor to my household’s finances, I struggled hard with this. The flow of revenue isn’t always consistent with a small business. I always felt if I did something nice or expensive for myself, that money might not come back. I’d then be failing my duties to provide for family. The thought of it alone felt selfish and that only made me feel unworthy.

I eased into investing in myself. Like going to the salon or hiring a trainer. That helped me to realize that I am VERY worthy of spending money on ME. It helped me to see that no matter how scary it felt in the moment, the money came back. Me investing in myself didn’t cause my world to end.

In fact it did the opposite. The more I invested in myself, the more I felt that the hard work I put in was worth it. Feeling good about myself, prioritizing myself and giving myself the permission to experience new things, has made me feel empowered and know that I AM WORTHY. When I’m empowered I work harder. When I work harder I make more money. When I’m happier I make more connections. When I have all of these I am able to run a business that allows me to give my family a comfortable life. It’s a domino effect that all starts with ME. I now prioritize doing at least one nice big thing for myself every year. It’s usually a vacation.
